The Green Finance Organisation of Japan and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) of the Government of Japan jointly organized the Fourth Annual Green Bank Congress 2016 on 11th October 2016 in Tokyo, Japan. This was the first Green Bank Congress after the Paris Agreement.

The much-anticipated event  was attended by around 30 individuals from GBN Member institutions, the Japanese government, and several international non-governmental and quasi-governmental institutions. The Green Bank Congress consisted of a welcoming address by our host emphasizing the timeliness of the event in light of the recent Paris Agreement followed by presentations by green banking and financial institutions, the Green Climate Fund, and the Green Bank Network.
